We stayed out till the sun came up

Laughing like we didn’t give a damn

Skateboards late nights drinks in hand

But nothing ever goes to plan

We thought this ride would never end

But every road has got a bend

And now I’m a watching it slip away

While we hold on for one more day

I wanna stay young forever but time’s pulling me away

Can we hit pause before it fades to grey

But let’s face it

Growing up totally overrated anyway

Cheap thrills and reckless dreams

We swore we’d never join the machine

But now the future’s calling aloud

Guess we’re losing our way in the crowd

We can’t stay kids we can’t stay lost

But does it have to come at such a cost

I’ll fight the pull resist the change

Even though I know nothing stays the same
